What is happiness?

WARNING : THIS BLOG ENTRY MAY BE ODD,AS I WILL BE TALKING ABOUT VERY SERIOUS STUFF.I WARNED YOU.
So,what is happiness? We were having this discussion in English when we were told to read a poem called "Happiness" and answer questions about it.Since then I've been thinking about it a lot. It's different for some people, but most girls in my class said that it would be being with their friends and family.I would say the same but there's more to it for me e.g. being at home alone and being able to sing and dance with out feeling like a freak, listening to a song that I really love or reading a book that touches all my emotions.I know people will be saying "She's too young to think about these things,or have a proper opinion."That annoys me.Older people thinking that just because we're only entering secondary school and our teen years,we don't think deeply and ponder and that things can't move our souls and make us feel weak and vulnerable........sorry.I had to get that out, because so many people have looked at me weird or rolled their eyes when I say something I think is important.I do think deeply and I do truly love some books and songs because they remind me of what I've got and others don't have.......or what I don't have and others do.I might make out a list of my favorite songs and books and poems and put them here so you can look at them....whoever's listening. So,I'll make the list soon and put it up here so anyone can look at it.Bye! xxx Lorna xxx

What A Beautiful Day!

The title says it all.Today was gorgeous. My dad, brother and I had to drop my sister to Rowing near the Lee so while we were waiting for her to finish we went on a walk.Nearly all the leaves had fallen off the trees so there was a carpet of red and gold and yellow and orange on the ground. The pale sun shone through the trees so it made a 10 degrees day seem like 15.Lots of people passed us,families with small children by the pond, dog walkers by the river, joggers and cyclists all over the place. To make it even better we reached Blackrock market where therre was a small number of stalls.Guitars were played, crepes were eaten and I  had a wonderful time. Then we walked back and waited about half an hour, which I spent readin "Catching Fire".We then went to Wilton shopping centre and got ice-cream,I had Oreo and Bubblegum-NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM!!!!!All in all,I thought it was a pretty good day.Hope yours was good too!!!Bye! xxx Lorna xxx

Hey :D

Hey you guys!Sorry for not posting,I was extremely consumed in my reading.I joined the MS Readathon and I've read 4 books,I'm now on my fifth. My last book was My Name Is Mina by David Almond.I can honestly tell you that that book is one of the mostly thought-provoking and enquiring books I've ever read.It makes you think about things you would put out of your mind, things you do everyday so are a second nature to you.Mina(the main character and diary writer)gives you "Extraordinary Activities" to do.One,for instance,is to go to the toilet and think about where it goes, who drinks it when its water then loses it through pee, sweat and spit. It's an extraordinarily brilliant book and one you will want to read again and again and again and again and again and again and...........well,you get the picture. So,I guess I'll see you again.Bye!!! xxx Lorna xxx :D :D :D
